Chiropractic Manipulation

Chiropractic manipulation is a technique designed to restore proper range of motion and movement to your joints of the body. This requires the doctor to make an impulse to the patient’s body. This will often result in a “pop” or “crack”. This results in a release of stored pressure from the joint, and allows normal movement and flexibility to return to you. This process allows the body to integrate and balance, allowing the central nervous system to function at its full capacity.

Electric Muscle Stimulation

Electrotherapy is a modality designed to reduce muscle stiffness and soreness through mild electrical impulses. The electrical impulses delay the pain signaling from the site of injury to the brain, allowing the targeted muscles to gradually ease their spasm. This gives these region the proper means of healing and recovery.

Instrument-Assisted Soft Tissue Therapy (IASTM)

There are a variety of muscle therapy techniques. IASTM utilizes specialized tools that brush muscles and deeper tissues in order to help reduce muscle tightness and adhesions. By specifically sweeping these tissues, the individual fibers reorganize properly, and allow free and normal function.

Therapeutic Ultrasound

Therapeutic ultrasonography is a modality used to help promote tissue healing and to reduce inflammation. This technology uses sound waves to penetrate into deeper layers of tissue, while activating cell regeneration and growth.

Trigger Point/Myofascial Release Therapy

If there’s a joint issue, muscles, ligaments and other connective tissues tend to follow suit. Knots and adhesions start to form and can contribute to further pain, stress and dysfunction. This therapy works through the tangled muscle and nerve tissue to ultimately unbind them.

Kinesiotaping

Taping has gained a lot of popularity in professional sports, but has also demonstrated promise with more common conditions. Kinesiotaping helps introduce stability to regions that need further support as they progress through the various stages of recovery. Think of the tape as a functional brace, where the body can still move in ranges freely, but still have the support needed to heal.

Cranial Osteopathy

Distortion patterns have a global effect on the body and strains the neurological system directly via the dural meningeal system. The dural meningeal system is a protective layer along our central nervous system. Chiropractic cranial osteopathy seeks to ease the stress on this system through balancing areas of the spine, cranial bones, jaw and hard palate. Studies have shown this technique to benefit conditions such as post-concussive syndrome, tinnitus (ringing in the ear), TMJ pathology, sleep apnea, migraines, and others.

Therapeutic Exercise Rehabilitation

Studies have shown that chiropractic care and rehabilitation exercise provide patients with the best outcomes regarding treatment. After reintroducing the joints to their normal ranges of motion, the surrounding structures must regain understanding of how they can support these “new” movements. Specific functional exercises will provide the best means of integration for the joints, muscles, ligaments and neurology that control how the body feels and performs.
